Preschool   Program

Our preschool program is run for all children from 2 1/2 years to 5 years. In supporting a smooth transition to primary years our preschool program is focused on the development of the whole child- physical, emotional-social, cognitive and language development. We stimulate children's thinking through carefully curated learning experiences that are designed to get them:

- Critically thinking

- Communicating

- Investigating

- Exploring, and

- Problem-Solving.

They are challenged physically and encouraged to develop good health, hygiene and safety habits.

Our preschool program also includes a multitude of play based learning experiences that further develop children's communication and cooperation with one another, they learn to recognise their feelings but also accept the feelings of others. We encourage calm down techniques and strategies which assist in emotional self-regulation and assist in the development of a sense of responsibility, independence and self-worth. We instill a motivated and persistent disposition for learning where the children problem solve using creative thinking skills and not to give up when faced with challenges.

School Readiness Program

Marina and Lyn both (B. Ed 0-12) have double degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education and have created a high quality school readiness program which Lyn (B. Ed 0-12) and Melissa (Dip of CS) implement daily. It is offered only to graduating children 4 years old and over. It has been created in consultation with other local primary teachers and what they are most wanting children to achieve prior to commencing Kindergarten. The program follows the Early Stage 1 primary years curriculum allowing children to achieve skills in motor development, mathematics and literacy which will offer them the best head start possible for their first year of primary education.
